To
Everything there is a time and a season. (Ecclesiastes 3)
Spring is filled with hope and
expectation,
Life emerges, dreams birthed in warm soil of anticipation.
A season of great promise,
The dwelling place of new life and resurrection.
Summer follows
with its process.
The light, warmth and nurture of the sun causes maturing.
A promise of bountiful harvest fills the air
As the first fruit fruit begins to appear.
Fall
approaches--a time of reflection,
Change and transition.
Former things pass away,
Behold! All things new--PREPARATION.
With winter
comes the dark night of the soul,
Wrestling with God His plan to unfold.
Barrenness everywhere is all that is seen,
The shadow of death enshrouds every living thing.
But, at last,
the voice of My Lord beaks death's grip,
As He thunders, "Child, Come forth!"
Quickly all shadows fell as the breath of life enters me,
And once again the glory of spring appears.
