Lay
your burdens down at the foot of the cross,
For what can be accomplished through anxiety--
A spirit that leads to death.
Choose
instead to flow with My Spirit who leads you into peaceful
pastures. If your eyes were truly opened, you would see the
glorious power behind resting in Me.
If
you refuse to lay your burden down, I cannot take it up.
Allow Me to shepherd you, for sheep have no concern,
As the shepherd takes care of all their needs.
His
rod is their protection,
And He leads them where the grass is
plentiful
And the waters still.
He
lights the way and says,
Follow Me without delay
For the wolf prowls about
Hungry for the prey
If one strays from the path,
Grave peril will surely follow,
At times He must wound--to heal
Then He carries that one back to the flock
The lamb's shepherd still.
Of this there can be no doubt,
Staff in hand--He takes his stand
Between the lion and the lamb
