God's Word tells us that "...all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God..."  Romans 3:23.  In other words, because of the fall of man in the Garden of Eden, we are born with a "fallen" nature that is bent toward sin. 

God's Word also tells us "the wages of sin is death., but the free gift of God is eternal life."  Romans 6:23

God is a holy God who must judge sin.   By God's righteous standard even one sin in a lifetime causes a soul to be damned for eternity.  As you can see, apart from God's mercy and grace, we are in a hopeless state. 

For this reason, God sent his son, Jesus Christ into the world, to live a sinless life--qualifying Him to bear God's judgment for your sins and the sins of every person who has ever lived on planet Earth.  Jesus agreed to be our sacrificial lamb--our substitute.  He took your place and mine on the cross so we would not perish, and He secured the promise of eternal life for all who receive Him.  It is His sinless blood that is available to wash away our sins.  It is His Holy Spirit that is available to come and indwell every believer with power to overcome sin.  The Word tells us, Jesus, God's son, was manifested to destroy the works of the devil.  1 John 3:8.

Jesus is alive today!  He still walks the earth calling to those who will believe.  God's will is that none perish.  However, He has given every person the right to choose.  No matter how bound you may be, or afflicted by demonic oppression, Jesus can set you free.  Jesus said it is the truth that will set you free.  He is the living Word of God.  He invites you now, to come to Him and find rest for your soul.  Will you receive God's free gift?
